Life Story :

Matthew grew up in a pretty poor Muggle family. His parents were always wondering why strange things happen when he's close, and they will soon get an answer.

At the age of 5, Matthew once picked up a tree branch, and managed to send sparks out of it. His parents were shocked by this, they thought he had some rare disease, but when they got to the doctor with Matthew, it appeared he had nothing. The doctor even blamed his parents for it. So Matthew continued sending sparks to everyone. But he also damaged the house with it, and each time he shoots out sparks now, his parents punish him. Matthew didn't mind, he knew he was special in the family. He didn't even look like his parents, and now it appeared he has the chance to use magic.

When Matthew turned 10, his magical powers grew, and he made himself a nice polished wand to train with. He could let objects fly around in the house, and found a way to not get punished because of it : he helps his mother washing the dishes etc.

Matthew finally got his invitation to Hogwarts, first he thought someone was joking with him, since he didn't know what the letter was talking about. Where is Diagon Alley ? Do potions exist ? What are Gallions ? How do I get to Platform 9¾ ?
But everything was soon explained, as a Ministry of Magic Official came to his house, and took him away to Diagon alley to get his School Stuff. The Official explained him everything about Gringotts, Hogwarts ( the school he was going to ), Gallions etc.
He didn't even hesitate walking into the big pillar to get to Platform 9¾.

On Hogwarts, Matthew knew what he wanted to do later. He wanted to be a Ministry Official, he had a talent to speak in front of everybody, and soon became Class Oldest from Gryffindor. He discovered his talent for Arithmancy, Spells & Charms, and Study of Ancient Runes. Once in his last year on Hogwarts, he decided to really go for that place as Ministry Official.

He started his studies, and held many speeches. He even nominated himself a place to be Minister of Magic. And after not being chosen twice, he finally managed to get there.
